K800i Emergency Calls Only

I was having problems with my Sony Ericsson K800i. It kept showing 'Emergency Call Only'. I could not receive nor call out. I had to switch off and on, and than the normal network could be found.

I thought it could be the phone problem. Did reset the phone but after a day it started again.

This week after checking online forums regarding this problem, I tried one solution, that was to deactivate the 3G settings.

. Goto Settings
. Under the Connectivity tab, choose Mobile networks.
. Choose GSM/3G networks
. Select GSM only.

There... solved. So far so good :-D

The latest IPhone 3G is coming, launching July 11, not so soon in Malaysia.

Price USD 199, cheaper than the first one, so those of you who bought the first iPhone, time to upgrade?
