Lunch @ Tram Car Again

This time I ordered the set lunch (RM14.90++), sweet and sour fish with rice at the Tram Car Restaurant, in 3 Two Square.

The set includes a bun (with butter), soup of the day (Spinach cream soup), the main dish, a dessert and coffee/tea. Price including tax RM16.90.

*Photo taken with Sony Ericson's K800i.

The sweet fish taste much better than that served at Home Delight restaurant.

It is worth the price, which includes the soup and dessert.

Tired @ Work

After last nights music rehearsal, a few of us went to Kanna for supper and some fellowshipping. Thanks Andrew for supper. We we forced to leave at 11pm, cause the restaurant closes at 11pm. I reached home around 11:40pm.

After bathing I had to do some personal paper work and copy some files for Rebecca to my thumb drive. Slept around 1am.

I was awoken from my slumber at 3am. Someone's car alarm went off at the basement parking. It went on and on and on, like the Energizer battery man. Manage to doze up an hour later. Grrrrrrrrr. Yup, I am usually a light sleeper... nope not sleeping with the lights on.

Woke up at 5:30am, my usual wake up time to prepare for work.

When I went to my car this morning, I passed the "culprit" car... the hazards lights we blinking, but there was no more alarm sound. Guess the car got fed up calling its owner. :-P

So today is a yawnie and sleepie day for me at work (:|

Sunday's Lunch @ Restoran Yi Kee (27.7.2008)

On the way back home from Church last Sunday, the family and I stopped by in Restoran Yi Kee in Taman Connaught for lunch. We ordered roast duck, char siew and siew yoke.

Stop....!!! Before you start drooling...

The siew yoke's skin was tough. The roast duck was soggy and not so tasty. They served the dish with white rice. The sweet sauce was the saviour here, it gave taste to the duck.

I would not recommend this place for roast duck.

Anwar's Sodomy Case - Medical Report Not Sodomy (29-30.7.2008)

Conspiracy, lies, the X files... MalaysiaKini news updates.

Hospital: It wasn't a sodomy examination
Jul 30, 08 4:05pm

Hospital Pusrawi today clarified that its medical officer Dr Muhammad Osman Abdul Hamid did not conduct a sodomy-related examination on Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan.

The hospital revealed that Muhammad, a Burmese national, is not a specialist but only a general practitioner stationed at the Emergency Unit.
"There were no further examinations carried out (on Saiful at Pusrawi) in relation to the sodomy complaint," he added.

Health DG: Ministry will stick by HKL's findings

Jul 29, 08 3:47pm

The Health Ministry stands by the findings of the medical examination conducted on Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan by doctors at the Hospital Kuala Lumpur.

The Star quoted ministry director-general Dr Mohd Ismail Merican as saying this in response to the latest twist in the sodomy allegation against opposition stalwart Anwar Ibrahim.
However, the police responded by stating that the news reports on this matter were aimed at sabotaging their investigations and confuse the public.

Saiful's uncle rubbishes leaked medical report
Chan Kok Leong Jul 29, 08 3:10pm

A close relative of Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan echoed police sentiments today, rubbishing claims that his nephew had not been sodomised.
Controversial but popular blogger Raja Petra, in a posting dated July 26, reasoned that Anwar may have been released on police bail because the semen sample found on Saiful belonged to his uncle.

Anwar: It confirms plot to frame me
Jul 29, 08 12:39pm

PKR leader Anwar Ibrahim today said that the freshly discovered medical report of Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan confirmed that sodomy allegations made against him was baseless and politically motivated.
"The failure of the police to disclose this medical report all but confirms there is an intention to frame me," he told a press conference this morning.

'Regrettable' but leaked report valid: Lawyer
Beh Lih Yi Jul 29, 08 6:48pm
While the leak of sodomy complainant Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan’s medical report is ‘regrettable’, the report’s contents are admissible evidence in court regardless of how they were exposed, said a senior counsel today.

"The courts have always taken the position that evidence that is relevant is admissible even though it has been wrongly exposed," Sulaiman Abdullah, one of the lawyers representing PKR leader Anwar Ibrahim told reporters in Petaling Jaya.

"The situation now is that everybody knows about this medical report and while an invasion of doctor-patient confidentiality has occurred, it’s regrettable, but you cannot run away from the fact that it’s now very clear that there is no sodomy involved," he stressed.

Sodomy probe: 7 MCA branches demand answers
Jul 29, 08 4:52pm
Seven MCA branches have questioned the integrity of the sodomy allegation against opposition stalwart Anwar Ibrahim as well as the police investigation into the matter.
The branches also took deputy inspector-general of police (DIGP) Ismail Omar to task for stating that media reports on the doctor’s findings were aimed at confusing the people.

"Such statements by the DIGP only serve to further the perception that the police is pulling out all the stops to withhold evidence crucial to prove Anwar’s innocence while at the same time fabricate or attempt to fabricate evidence against a fellow citizen of our country."

Breakfast @ Nasi Kandar Zulkifli

No photos :-p

I had
milo ais (RM1.80) and roti kosong (RM0.90), total RM2.70.

Anwar: No Evidence Of Sodomy

Let the cat out of the bag. News report from MalaysiaKini...

... another case of conflicting reports? 1st report from Hospital Pusrawi says no sodomy, and what about the 2nd report from Hospital Kuala Lumpur...

Doctor: No evidence of sodomy
Beh Lih Yi and P Tarani Jul 28, 08 1:36pm
There is no evidence that Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan was sodomised, according to the doctor who examined him four hours before he lodged a police report alleging he was sexually assaulted by PKR leader Anwar Ibrahim.
He first went to Hospital Pusrawi (Pusat Rawatan Islam) in Jalan Tun Razak - a government-linked Islamic medical institution - at about 2pm.

The doctor said that the patient had alleged he was assaulted by the intrusion of a piece of "plastic" in the anus.

Mohamed Osman, according to his medical report which was recorded at 2.14pm, found "zero active bleeding", "zero ulcer or pus", "zero tear and scar" in Saiful's anus.

He also stated that Saiful appeared "alert", "comfortable", "not pale" and did not show any fever symptoms....

Police: Report aims to sabotage sodomy probe
Jul 28, 08 7:18pm
The report of a doctor ruling out that Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan had been sodomised is an attempt to sabotage police investigations, said Deputy Inspector-General of Police Ismail Omar....

Azizah: This proves my husband is innocent
Beh Lih Yi | Jul 28, 08 6:35pm

"It’s a confirmation that it’s a conspiracy all along as this report goes to prove Anwar’s innocence," PKR president Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail told Malaysiakini.

In view of this, the opposition leader urged the police to investigate why there is an attempt to defame her husband instead of continuing the probe on the sodomy allegation.

Blogger Nicole Tan aka Nicole Kiss

I read Nicole's report on in The Star yesterday.

Dear, sounds familar huh :-D Now if someone asked me how is work or how is life, etc... I will say "Read my blog!" Hehe...

A field guide to the blogging world
RECENTLY, I observed a couple at a restaurant and noticed that while the girl was patiently waiting at the table, the guy had his camera out, trying to get the perfect angle to snap a picture of the food on the table.

Pretty soon, the bright light of the flash filled the restaurant as he started capturing his meal for posterity and I looked on, intrigued, until the guy, in his mid-20s, finally put his camera down and pecked his girlfriend on the cheek.

I giggled silently and thought to myself, “Must be a blogger!”...

How to spot a blogger?
1) Cameras:..ever ready with our cameras... [yes ready with my S3 and Handphone camera for mobile blogging]
2) Inquisitive: We want to be know-it-alls...
3) Internet addiction: ...the Internet is like a fifth limb...
4) Different priorities: We talk about comments and traffic...
5) A sense of unity: Bloggers unite!...

PI's 'forced' declaration: Sivarasa quizzed for 4 hrs
Syed Jaymal Zahiid Jul 25, 08 3:14pm
Prominent lawyer and opposition politician R Sivarasa was quizzed by the police for almost four hours over private investigator P Balasubramaniam’s explosive statutory declaration.
Sivarasa said the police had quizzed him on Balasubramaniam's claim that he made his first statutory declaration under duress.

"But I told them that he made it voluntarily and it was done truthfully," he told reporters.
"The investigation is slanted towards the first declaration. I don’t mind the police conducting an investigation on the matter but the same effort must be made to investigate the second one too," he said.

Asked whether he could recognise any of the officers he spoke to, Syed Jaymal said he could not as “at that time, they all looked the same.” [yes with the same uniform and all wearing helmets, they will look the same. I wonder if they have their names on the uniforms]

Lunch @ Nasi Kandar Zulkifli: Maggi Goreng

My company has a software that tracks the time we arrive/leave after work as well as time we leave/return from lunch.

My admin colleague just informed me that based on my last weeks time in/out, the big boss wrote "9/10 on-time leaving" (9 our of 10), cause based on the time I clock out I would leave the office on time (or slightly over time).

I will aim next week to better this record to... "10/10 on-time leaving". :-D I will treat myself to teh tarik.

Most of my colleagues feel like we are in school. I remember school was not so strict.

Lunch @ Tram Car Restaurant Part 2

This time round, I went with my colleagues. I did not order the set lunch but had nasi lemak which was served with redang ayam and acah. The nasi lemak was good.

This lunch has overwritten my comment (first visit) on the food in my previous blog Lunch @Tram Car Restaurant. So it seems that the local dishes here are good.

My colleague had the sweet sour rice and another the cantonese noodle, both gave good comments.

Guess what, Tram Car Restaurant is run by one of the owners of the previous Cable Car Restaurant in Jaya (Jaya is closed, to be demolised and a new building to be rebuilt). Now I have to find the other half of the original Cable Car Restaurant.

Avoid KL Today: Planned Protest @ Parliament

Traffic report on Federal highway towards KL, jam due to police roadblock at Kota Darul Ehsan, near UH all the way as my eyes can see from Amcorp mall.

My colleagues are all complaining about the traffic congestion today. Normal days the traffic jams are bad, and today with the police road blocks the situation is made worst, even to a standstill. So today we can thank the police for contributing to the traffic standstill.

Sorry my picture is not clear. Taken at the traffic light intersection from Federal highway / Amcorp Mall @ 6:35am.

Screen capture from ITIS... around 12:57pm

Its before 5pm. what a 'black' day for motorist today. Even the sky is crying.

MBF HOLDINGS: Unit Proposes Revised Scheme of Arrangement
In 1992, MBf Property Services Sdn Bhd (MBfPS), a then wholly-
owned subsidiary of MBfH and registered owner of the master
title for Paradise Malacca Village Resort (PMVR) had entered
into Sale and Purchase Agreements of a Lease for Hotel Apartment
Suites (SPA of Lease) in PMVR with purchasers. Subsequently MBf
Hotels entered into sublease agreement with the unit owners of
PMVR in return for an annual 8% guaranteed return over a period
of 3 years with an automatic renewal option for another 3 years,
which expired in years 2000 and 2001.

MBf Hotels had suffered losses in the running of the hotel
suites and was unable to pay the guaranteed rental. As a result
of financial deterioration over time and potential legal suites
which may result in substantially lower returns to all creditors
of MBf Hotels, a revised SOA is proposed to address the
abovementioned situation.

Melaka: Paradise Melaka Village Resort

Paradise Melaka Village Resort.

Cher Sharon, Marilyn and I used to stay at this resort many many years ago. It was a beautiful resort. If I remembered correctly if was under MBf.

The pictures below show some nice and interesting building designs, but the overall environment of the hotel (or what is left of the hotel) leaves much to be desired.
I heard that Leisure Holidays have 60 units (rooms) in this hotel 'which ceased operations in 2000'. It is only available for Leisure Holiday guests.

The entrance, just a small sign. The Putra International College sign (in blue) is more noticeable. The surrounding looks unkept, empty and a bit spooky.

The car park is not full, plenty of space.

The fountain is not working.

The food counter/bar next to the swiming pool.

The playground. No kids allowed to play here.

The buildings. It is a nice hotel, or it used to be. It still has a bit of its former charm.

The high rise blocks are not occupied, an errie feeling. Curtain left 'blowing in the wind'.Broken roofs and ceiling.

Leaking and dusty. The lift has an 'old' odour in it.

The room toilet, fungus and rotton wood. No shower curtain, part of the curtain rail is missing.

The electric kettle, do you want to use it? We tried to change the kettle, and since there were no phones in the room, we went to the reception. No one around except the security guard. He said the rest has went out for dinner.
Forget about boiling water. Anyway we bought bottled water from Cold Storage Melaka.

The courtyard, outside the room.

The tennis court. Wooden 'rotting' benches at the courtyard.

There are no activities available in this resort, nor any food outlets. The swimming pool looks okay but we did not want to swim in it.

The room: The airconds worked well. There is hot water in the bathrooms. The apartment is quite clean, expect some fungus growing here and there, rotting wood, missing door knobs on the cupboards and kitchen cabinets. Towels provided. Clean bedsheets and pillow cases.

Checked out early the next morning.
