Balinese thatching gets the nod

ALANG-ALANG thatching, which has been used in Indonesia for hundreds of years as a traditional system of roofing, is the main attraction at the RM3bil Sepang Goldcoast in Bagan Lalang.
The project is poised for a soft launch in early January next year and while it is billed as an important tourism project, we must not forget the contributions made by the local community which was roped in to supply the roofing materials, although it was only for a short period....
