Family Trip To Sepang (01.09.2008): Lunch

Day 2, lunch. We had a late lunch at Ocen Seafood Restaurant in Tanjung Sepang (next to the jetty) which is around 20km drive from Sungai Pelek town.

We arrived around 3:20pm at the restaurant, it was sooooo crowded with patrons from outstation. (Remember long Merdeka holiday). People we coming and going without stopping, and it was already 3:20pm. The crowd started to thin out at around 4:20pm.

Again the children were waiting and this time mama brought them some keropok.

The food came around 4:15pm. Nearly an hour wait (sigh...), what to do, you want good food you have to wait.

What we ate... ocennn (fried egg with oysters), mixed veg and steam fish (ikan bawal).

* Pictures taken with Sony K800i handphone

The cost...
. Steam fish... RM 29.00
. Oyster egg.. RM 13.00
. Mixed veg... RM 8.00
... total cost with rice and tea (with ice) RM 55.70.

So much more worth it than the dinner we had the previous night at E.P Hoon Restaurant in Sungai Pelek. 2 dishes cost around RM54, compared to this lunch around the same price.

Felt cheated by E.P Hoon restaurant. What to do, you want to eat, you have to wait and than pay the price.

Good points...
. Food is good
. Reasonable priced
. Good view of the jetty and sea

Bad points...
. During holidays, this place is packed with customer. You will have to wait quite long for the food to arrive.
. A bit smelly at times, when the breeze from the sea hits us. Sometimes it smells like "urine". Ewwww. There is no proper plumbing from the toilet. All goes into the sea during high tide.
. Yesterday, a kid from the next table just urinated (with help from his dad) behind my seat.. how gross and uncivilized.

No other pictures. While driving cannot take photos, and using the HP cam is a bit of a hassle and slow.

Most of the day, we we resting at home.
