Bandar Mahkota Cheras access road is still open.
I used the access road again yesterday evening. Yes it is still open, and instead of big umbrellas there is now a big canopy in the middle divider near the traffic lights. This time it took me over 5 minutes to clear the traffic lights.
The people there must 'guarding' the access road to prevent further 'unauthorized' closure of the road.
