Toll-free access road closure and floods dominate talks

No solution is in sight still for the Bandar Mahkota Cheras toll-free access road closure issue because council president Datuk Hasan Nawawi Abd Rahman said MPKj had no jurisdiction over the matter that is now a court case between the township’s developer Narajaya Sdn Bhd and Cheras-Kajang Highway concessionaire Grand Saga Sdn Bhd.
Lee: ‘The authorities should make solving the traffic jams in Kajang their priority’
Narajaya is said to be suing Grand Saga over compensation being sought by the latter company that barricaded the road, citing loss of toll collection. Residents caught in the turmoil said they were promised a toll-free access road when buying their properties.
